The New Grad program here at Cedars has empowered me to adequately perform in my role as both a patient advocate and team player to the rest of the staff as I continue to grow in developing my nursing practice.

Ryan Shiozaki, BSN, RN on 6NE (February 2018 Cohort)

  • The new grad program at Cedars provided me with the encouragement and support I needed as a new nurse. Working at such a prestigious hospital as a new nurse is scary and exciting, but the new grad program provides a safe space for you to ask questions and voice any concerns. I especially enjoyed being able to share experiences with other nurses who are taking their first steps as well.

Tae Woo, BSN, RN on 3SCCT (October 2017 Cohort)
  • The New Graduate Program at Cedars-Sinai honed my skills to become a more compassionate, thorough, and confident nurse. I am forever grateful and thankful for working for CSMC. It made me who I am today!

Priya Gandhi, BSN, RN, CVRN on 5 North (October 2017 Cohort)
  • I was first introduced to Cedars-Sinai through their Teen Volunteer Program. It was then that I realized that this was a well-established community. At only 14 years old, others welcomed my interests, offered their services, and made me feel welcomed. The same goes for the New Grad RN Residency Program. During this program, I felt supported and heard. This program allows for the transition between student nurse to bedside nurse to be as smooth as possible and it’s an experience I will never forget.

Liliana (Lily) Gomez-Casillas, BSN, RN on 7 South (February 2018 Cohort)
  • The best part about the New Grad Residency Program for me was being able to openly share both struggles and successful moments. Knowing my colleagues were going through similar experiences and having instructors who listened and provided help along the way was so reassuring and much appreciated!

Stephanie (Charlie) Vasquez, BSN, RN, PCCN on 6 South (October 2017 Cohort)
